About the Archive
This Archive is dedicated to the memory of Brian Bamber, who died on 24th October 2010. Brian was a member of the Longridge and District History Society, and built up, annotated and preserved the Society's photographic archive which forms the initial content of this on-line archive. He also contributed significantly to the writing of the Heritage Trails, which guide users round points of interest in the history of Longridge.
We hope that users of the Archive will find much of interest, and will if possible contribute additional information, photographs or documents which will build upon Brian's work.
