Here you can see the new Police Station which was built in 1880, replacing the one in Chapel Hill.

There was one sergeant and four bobbies to keep law and order in population of about 4, 000.

 

In the year 2000 with the population nearer to 10, 000 there appeared to be only 2 policemen and a Land Rover!
