The mill has had several uses over the years. In 1879 it was a Bone Mill, then a Bobbin Mill run by a Scholfield for 3 or 4 years, then a Provin Mill run by Duxburys (who later moved across the road). It then became a Dairy run by Proctor and Coupe.
