Grimsargh School first began as one classroom in 1809. Another room was added in 1900 and a timber extension added in 1933. 


In 1851 the school master was Thomas Billington, followed by Henry Bramwell in 1882, later followed by Mr Slater, Mr Harrison and Miss Critchley in the 1920’s. Nellie Carbis and Mr Lister followed and made the move to the new school.
