Longridge Heath Centre opened in the late 1960s. It was built on land that had been cleared by the demolition of a number of stone cottages in King Street and the Library, a Cobblers and a further group of cottages on Market Street.  This end of Market Place was also widened at the same time. In mid 2001, the "For Sale" notices went up on the building, and we decided to ask if we could photograph and record the interior of the Centre before it was vacated. At this time the Doctors and most of the staff had moved down to the new Medical Centre in Berry Lane. The following are some of the photographs that we obtained.
