Berry Lane Medical Centre, one of the sites where staff from King's Street Medical Centre were relocated. The health centre on King Street was demolished and housing built on the site.

The practice has its roots in the 19th century. Many patients will remember the practice of Dr.J.G.Lord at the Old Parsonage and that of Dr.Kelly of Ribchester. The two practices merged and following the addition of two further partners, Drs Thornber & Proud, moved to Longridge Health Centre on King Street. On the retirement of Drs Lord & Kelly, Drs Forrester and Mayo joined the practice. Dr Bowman, our first lady Doctor, arrived in 1986 and following Dr. Thornber's retirement in 1988, Dr. Rowlandson became the fifth member of the team. Dr Proud retired prior to the move to the new premises in 1992. After the untimely death of Dr.Mayo, the remaining three partners were joined by Drs Small and Griffin in July 1993.
