This photograph of the Old Co-op Building was taken from Longridge News article entitled “A New Lease of Life.” The article, dating from 10th October 2003, is about work to begin the £1.3 million renovation of upper floors of the former Co-op building. The renovation turned the upper floors of the building into apartments, this entailing the removal of the businesses formerly located in the space such as the Printer John Barton, the Joiner Peter Doherty, the Shop Fitter and Joiner Brian Livesley and the Furniture Makers Roy Eccles and later Paul Mather.
